Cooper's Garden
You'll notice a new link under my blogs of importance for Cooper's garden. Cooper was a little boy in K's grade in school who was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer that is always fatal and lost his battle a little over 2 years ago. His family set up a foundation to support other families facing a similar diagnosis and provide a scholarship for a student of the arts at the University of West Georgia. Every once and a while K still brings up Cooper. I know how she feels to face the death of a playmate at such a young age, because a friend of mine when I was little died of a heart attack when he was 12, but it is hard to see kids have to face the reality of mortality so young. Cooper made a big impact on the world in a short time.
